I’m leaving facebook

To all my friends on facebook,

Please contact me directly and not on facebook. I’m leaving facebook. Please see their messages below.

If you’re still using facebook please let people know facebook restricted my freedom of speech and that’s why I can’t use facebook. Please support my causes on facebook and especially my cause to stop racism and discrimination on facebook. I suspect their reasons for restricting my freedom of speech and disabling my account are related to my political views and also the fact that I criticized facebook and started a cause against racism and discrimination on facebook.

Look here: Banned from facebook. “Everyone Can Join”. LOL.

Boycott facebook. There is no freedom of speech or privacy on facebook. They read your messages, they delete them, they kick you out, they limit the number of messages you can send without telling you how many, they do what they want.

Dear Facebook Team,

I had to send the same message to two different people. I don’t
understand why you block me because of this! It’s the second time you
block me from sending messages on Facebook. If you keep blocking me I
will tell all my friends not to use Facebook!

Please reply by a real person within reasonable time (one working day)
and let me know if I’m welcome on Facebook or not. If you don’t reply
at all I will leave Facebook.

Hi Uri,

Facebook has limits in place to prevent behavior that others may find annoying or abusive. These limits restrict the rate at which you can use certain features on the site. You have received a warning because Facebook determined that you were going too fast when sending messages.

If you have also been blocked from sending messages, please note that these blocks can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Unfortunately, we cannot lift the block for you. When you are allowed to resume using this feature, please proceed with caution to avoid reaching the limit again. Please be aware that the threshold at which you are warned is not a specific number, but rather determined by different factors (such as speed, time, and quantity). For security reasons, we are unable to provide additional information about this system. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks for your understanding,

Rufus

Hi Uri,

Thanks for expressing your concerns to us. Facebook currently draws its geographical data from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) countries table and a related cities database. Since the ISO is one of the most widely recognized standards in the world, we rely on their data so we can stay neutral on controversial topics like this. We understand that there are omissions and classifications in this cities database we use that are not satisfactory to all of our users. We are currently working on adding missing cities and altering some of the cities classifications per concerns brought to our attention, and we hope you will bear with us as we work towards a solution that will be acceptable to everyone involved. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you in the meantime. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Rufus,

I understand you’re replying to what I wrote on the website (when
contacting you) and not the e-mail. It’s not only a personal issue of
mine - there are 39,050 members of the group ["Israel" is not a
country!... ... Delist it from Facebook as a country!]. Actually it is
not only listed as a country in Facebook but also as a geographic
region. While ISO might define it as a country, nobody defines Israel
and Palestine as two separate geographic regions. Please read what I
wrote on the new cause I started today - [Stop racism and
discrimination on Facebook]. Actually it’s very annoying that I can’t
join facebook groups that are only for members of the Israel network.
There is no network “United States of America” in facebook and
therefore there should be no network “Israel”. You are discriminating
against other regions outside the USA and Canada and UK. There are
cities in other countries you know, not only in the United States of
America. You pretend to rely on ISO but ISO never defined the world
regions the way they are defined in facebook. Even countries on
facebook are not defined the way they are defined on ISO. ISO defines
PS as “Palestinian territory, occupied” and you define it as
Palestine. You can’t define Israel and Palestine as two separate
geographc regions because they are not! Many people who define
themselves as belonging to the Israel network actually live in the
“Palestinian territory, occupied” areas (actually there is no
consensus as to where this territory is). Many other people who live
in the same areas define themselves as living in Palestine.

Hi Uri,

Facebook has limits in place to prevent behavior that other users may find annoying or abusive. These limits restrict the rate at which you can use certain features on the site, including the message feature. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with the specific rates that have been deemed abusive.

Your account was disabled because you exceeded Facebook’s limits on multiple occasions, despite having been warned to slow down. However, after reviewing your situation, we have reconfirmed your account and you should now be able to access it again.

Please be aware that if your account is disabled again, we will not be able to reactivate it. While using the message feature, keep in mind that it’s possible to run into a block based on how many messages you send and how fast you send them. It’s also possible to be blocked when either starting a new message thread or replying to a message. Lastly, deleting old messages will not allow you to send more messages. When you are allowed to resume using the message feature, please proceed with caution to avoid hitting the limit again. Let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Rufus
